POLICE yesterday issued a warning that tricksters are attempting to take advantage of businesses in the wake of a spate of thefts across the Fort William area.

As investigations continue into the wave of crime that has hit schools, businesses and industrial estates in recent weeks, Northern Constabulary urged people to be "on their guard" after several reports of an alleged telephone scam involving a man impersonating the police.
