They will meet Portree Primary, in a repeat of last year's final which the Skye side edged. The match will be played during the Inverness Highland Games on Sunday, July 19, at Bught Park, where a crowd of up to 5,000 is expected.
The Fort youngsters beat Kingussie and Newtonmore, among others, in the qualifying tournament which featured 14 teams from primary schools throughout the Highlands and which was organised by Highland Council's Active Schools service. Fort William coach Murdo MacDonald said: "It's a great achievement for the school and here's hoping we can avenge last year's defeat and lift the cup." Related articles: |
