Lesley Watt, a former pupil of Banavie Primary and Lochaber High School, graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management.

Katrina Whyte, a former pupil of Ballachulish Primary and Kinlochleven High School, graduated from Loughborough University with a BA (Hons) in industrial design and technology.

Jodie Wilson graduated from the University of Glasgow as a Bachelor of Science in environmental chemistry. She is the daughter of Sandy and Lorraine Hunter, Lundy Road, Inverlochy.

Eric Walker, of Inverroy, Roy Bridge, manager of the Plumb Center, Fort William, and a reader with the Church of Scotland in Lochaber, graduated from the University of Aberdeen through the Centre for Lifelong Learning with a Bachelor of Theology degree.

Finlay Wild from Fort William graduated in medicine from Aberdeen University. He is the son of Fiona and Roger Wild. Earlier this month Finlay was first Lochaber runner home in the Ben Race, finishing in a time of 1h 34m 11s. In 1981 Fiona (pictured) did the race in a time of 1h 49m 19s.

William Weir, BVMS, MRCVS of Lochside, Kilbirnie, graduated from Glasgow University with a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology. William, who is the elder son of James and Jean Weir, of Birchfield, Torlundy is employed as a postdoctoral research assistant in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Glasgow University.

Carol Whitehead graduated BA (Hons) in accounting from Napier University. She is the daughter of Michael and Caroline Whitehead and a former pupil of Lochaber High School.
