Whether you are looking for a family day out, are keen to learn a new skill or simply appreciate good art, Moray Art Centre at Findhorn offers something for everyone to enjoy.
With a vibrant programme of exhibitions, classes, events and residences, we're a small gallery with big ideas, so come on down and explore!
The region's only purpose-built public gallery, Moray Art Centre achieved four-star visitor attraction status from VisitScotland in 2010. Set within the picturesque landscape of Findhorn Bay, the centre boasts two activity-based classrooms, a dedicated young persons' studio, three rentable artist studios, a reference library and a gallery shop.
Our bespoke galleries are one of a kind, hosting acclaimed exhibitions from national and international collections, whilst showcasing the very best art from across the region. Running an annual programme of weekly and day classes (from photography to basket-weaving, paper-making and life drawing), alongside dedicated workshops for families and young people, Moray Art Centre is an ideal location for those wishing to try something new.
Moray Art Centre is Scotland's first-ever ecologically built art gallery. To date, the centre has generated enough energy to brew over 2.5 million cups of coffee or bake 28,000 birthday cakes (just in time for our fifth anniversary!) and we're still producing more. Why not pay us a visit to see our state-of-the-art energy-saving facilities, including a solar energy calculator and a "People's Millions Garden", designed specifically to encourage biodiversity?
Since 2007, more than 60,000 visitors have enjoyed Moray Art Centre's down-to-earth and friendly approach, with many coming back. We aim to be as accessible as possible, with disabled facilities, free parking and that all-important free WiFi. Only 30 miles from Inverness and close to the historic village of Findhorn, Moray Art Centre makes the perfect day out when combined with the stunning local coastline.
Whether you're just visiting or you're a regular attendee, Moray Art Centre is the perfect place to relax, escape and be inspired this year.
