UNCONFIRMED reports this evening (Wednesday) link freed Tranmere Rovers defender David Raven with a move to Caley Thistle.
The former England under-20 and under-23 player is said to have agreed terms with Terry Butcher's Highlanders (27) as the Inverness club look to add as many as seven new players over the coming 10 days.
The Birkenhead-born defender was reserve skipper at Liverpool, but he only made one first-team appearance for the Anfield club and, after a loan spell in 2005 with Tranmere, he switched to Carlisle United where we had the most successful period of his career, racking up almost 150 games in four years.
In 2011-12, he joined Shrewsbury Town and played 14 times before returning to Tranmere.
At the end of the season, the League One club released him.
Although he’s said to be comfortable playing anywhere along the back line, it’s understood the right side of the pitch is his strongest area.
