A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a serious one-vehicle road crash on the A82 trunk road in Lochaber on Friday morning.
The accident, three miles south of Fort William, happened at about 8.40am and resulted in the car rolling onto its roof and down an embankment at the side of the busy road.
Police and ambulance crew attended and the woman, who was one of two occupants in the car, was flown by Scottish Ambulance Service helimed to Fort William's west end car park and transferred by road ambulance to the town's Belford Hospital.
Details of her injuries have not been released.
A police spokesman said the road was cleared shortly after 9.20am.
