A86 roadworks to start on Monday

road works signA £145,000 resurfacing project on the A86 at Roy Bridge will get underway on Monday for two weeks.

Scotland Transerv will carry out the maintenance between 7am and 6pm Mondays-Fridays, with the works due to finish on Friday, February 24.

During construction, the road will be reduced to one lane under temporary traffic signal control, with 10mph convoy working in place.

Transerv spokesman Cathel MacAskill warned that traffic will be held for short periods, up to a maximum of 20 minutes.

He added that local access will be maintained as far as possible and emergency services will have unrestricted access at all times.
