OUR Lochaber weather was more than acceptable - up until teatime on Friday.

"Then", as Pop Hughes used to say, "the rain came down in tornaments!" And has continued to do so since.

MOST frequent comment from English visitors to green and pleasant Lochaber last weekend: "We seem to have left the snow back home!"

Des-Res, close to town centre! No rent? No rates? Lovely loch and mountain views - and no neighbours! Where's the rain? FINE spell of weather for Lochaber. Only interrupted on Saturday morning - when it remembered how to rain. So that makes it all the more interesting to look back at Rainnet's January precipitation figures:
