HUNDREDS of women took to the streets of Inverness and trekked 13 miles across the Highland capital in a bid to raise cash for cancer care in the area.
Walkers braved the slightly chillier temperatures than normal for June to take part in the annual Bra Nicht Walk on Saturday which kicked off at 10pm from the recreational hall at Raigmore Hospital.
And it was a sea of pink whilst the women walked through the streets, some of whom were in brightly decorated bras, as the light from Inverness Castle and the lights on the bridges over the River Ness were also turned pink by the city Provost, Jimmy Gray.
Mr Gray previously told the HN he was "more than happy" to be involved in helping the organising of the Bra Nicht Walk because it was for such a good cause and because all the money raised stays in the Highlands.
The Bra Nicht Walk has already raised in the region of £130,000 in the previous three years for cancer patients in the Highlands.
The event is a legacy to the memory of Macmillan breast cancer health professional Mel Rose, who died in a car crash, and Nancy Hamilton, who succumbed to cancer before the inaugural event she helped organise took place. However her partner Graham Whyte still continues to help organise the event.
Watch out for more Bra Nicht pictures in this week's Highland News, North Star and Lochaber News.
